Ayodhya: In response to the chief priest’s concern for the well-being of Ram Lalla, the deity at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, a new schedule will be implemented starting this Friday. Ram Lalla will now enjoy a one-hour afternoon rest, as the chief priest emphasized the deity’s youthful nature, asserting that the deity is a five-year-old child, Ram Lalla shouldn’t be subjected to excessive stress.

Following the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla on Jan 22, in the holy city of Ayodhya, Ram Mandir witnessed the influx of devotees, the temple trust extended the “darshan” timings from 6 am to 10 pm. Previously, since January 23, the deity had been roused at 4 am for a two-hour ritual, with “darshan” commencing at 6 am and concluding at 10 pm. Evening rituals also occupied an additional two hours.

Acharya Satyendra Das highlighted, “Shri Ram Lalla is a five-year-old child and cannot endure such prolonged stress for 18 hours. Therefore, to ensure the deity’s well-being, it has been decided to close the temple doors from 12:30 to 1:30 in the afternoon, allowing Ram Lalla to rest.”

Before the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, “darshan” timings spanned from 7 am to 6 pm, featuring a two-hour afternoon break from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
