Misc. 241: Our Father which art in North Korea

Judah’s Limerick

Come rejoice with me, oh what fun

that our Great Leader Kim Jong Un

has penned a song

yes, do come along

If You cannot sing then you’d better run!

North Korea releases song praising leader Kim Jong Un
SEOUL, April 19 (Reuters) – North Korea has released a new song praising leader Kim Jong Un for being a “friendly father” and a “great leader”, in a move that appears to be part of a propaganda drive to enhance his standing in the reclusive state.
The music video for the song was aired on the state-controlled Korean Central Television on Wednesday.
It features North Koreans of different backgrounds ranging from children to troops and medical staff exuberantly belting out lines such as: “Let’s sing, Kim Jong Un the great leader” and “Let’s brag about Kim Jong Un, a friendly father”.

  1. I have always wondered about north korean people subjected to poverty, forced labor, life imprisonment, concentration camp, people who only knew and worship their leaders belonging to three generations, a country where christianity is banned and the list goes on and on. This song is totally opposite to the present living condition of people in north korea and I strongly condemn it. Very bold topic. Again hats off to Judah sir.

  2. Thank you so much Tamil Selvi for your insightful response. Apologies for the late response
