(credit:webmd.com)Li Wenliang 12 October 1986 – 7 February 2020) was a Chinese ophthalmologist who worked at Wuhan Central Hospital. He was the first to warn the world of a deadly new virus outbreak later termed Covid-19. Contracting the virus from a patient who was not known to be infected, Dr.Li died from the disease on 7 February 2020, at age 33.

But the Wuhan bosses did pooh-pooh and his claim dismiss
and forcibly made him to align
with their dense views and sign
a statement but the man was right, it’s now an apocalypse
Poor broken eye – doctor Lee, not yet thirty four
all he wanted was to warn the world ere the virus soar
was muzzled as he spoke
and this is no joke
for he died soon after at Corona’s global core
So now we live amidst a gripping pandemic
With scarcely a thought for the Wuhan academic
who didn’t live to see
his second babee
But Trump thought the virus a Dem gimmick!
The marauding President of the United States
applauded by loyal GOP associates
thought he did all know
and started so slow
in fighting Covid, the nation’s now in dire straits!
